ROSS-on-Wye Cricket Club will be fielding a newly-established third team in the Marches League next summer.
The South Herefordshire team will be joining five other sides, including Wormelow 3rd, in a revised Division 6.
The Ross 3rd team will play on a new, second pitch which has been created at The Park.
Ross already fields 1st and 2nd teams in Division 4 South of the Crusader Worcestershire County League.
A club spokesman said: "Ross are committed to the development of a cohesive approach to player development, which is why the management committee decided to enter a 3rd team into the Marches League.
"Our junior section has developed steadily over the last few years, we have trained 15 more coaches and we are now beginning to see the fruits of our labour and our investments in the coaching structure at Ross.
"The junior section are buzzing and these youngsters are forward looking, ambitious and keen to take the next step in their cricketing careers. Playing the longer game at senior level brings a different set of challenges, but many of our young players are keen and to make the step up to senior cricket."
The club spokesman said Ross' 3rd team would be a mixture of mature cricketers from the senior teams and bright young players of the future.
"It promises to be a great, fun team to be a part of and a force to contend with. We are grateful to the Marches League for their continued support and encouragement of Ross Cricket Club," the club spokesman added.
