BROCKHAMPTON remain deep in trouble at the foot of the Birmingham & District Premier Division despite claiming a losing draw against Wolverhampton.

The villagers are 50 points from safety with 10 games remaining and face another mid-table team this weekend in the shape of West Bromwich Dartmouth.

Wolverhampton posted a very competitive 314-3 off their 50 overs at The Parks with Thomas Farr hitting an unbeaten century.

Aneesh Kapil (67), Amritpal Singh (61) and Matthew Kleinveldt (54) also all hit half centuries as Brockhampton struggled with the ball.

Worcestershire's Daryl Mitchell did managed to snap up a wicket, as did Dominc Badger.

However, Mitchell was the player to go when Brockhampton were put into bat when he was clean bowled by Kleinveldt for 35 before the same bowler did likewise to Henry Langford in his very next ball.

And when Ashley Bullock and Joe Crichard departed, Brockhampton were reeling on 99-4.

Only overseas star Dinusha Fernando managed to stay at the crease for long period of time and it was his resolve that ensured Brockhampton managed to secure a losing draw.

His 56 came off 133 balls, with Luke Tulacz (16 from 44) also showing good resolve.

As for the other players, Ian Bullock and Oliver Rogoff both made four, while captain Nick Powell did not get off the mark and was out first ball.
