CLUB bowlers will have a chance to test their skills against South Africa's batsmen in the nets at Worcestershire's New Road ground later this month.

Players will also have an opportunity to bowl at the cream of young English cricket talent.

However, bowlers must be of Birmingham League standards.

South Africa and England Lions will go through their drills from Monday, June 26 to Wednesday, June 28 ahead of the three day fixture at the County's headquarters from June 29 to July 1.

It is South Africa's final fixture before the first Test with England at Lord's, starting on July 6.

Worcestershire Academy coach Elliot Wilson said: "We are looking to recruit net bowlers and it is a golden chance for club cricketers of a decent standard.

"How many other opportunities would you have to bowl at South Africa's finest current players just a week before the First Test with England?

"But the bowlers will also be able to go through their drills against the England Lions as well. It is an experience they will probably never forget."

The session times:

Monday, June 26: South Africa: 2pm-5pm at New Road.

Tuesday, June 27: South Africa: 1.30pm-4.30pm at New Road.

Wednesday, June 28: South Africa: 9.30am-12.30pm at New Road.

Wednesday, June 28: England Lions: 1.30pm-4.30pm at New Road.
