BURGHILL, Tillington & Weobley came away with a losing draw against Hagley in their latest Worcestershire County League Division One campaign.

In a rain-affected game, Hagley posted 229-5 off 45 overs thanks to a fine unbeaten stand of 72 from opening batsman Alex Millard.

Ben Owens (2-31) and Stephen Caple (2-54) both took two wickets for Burghill.

A further eight overs were lost, meaning that Burghill were handed 37 overs.

Owens and Ben Parkinson batted valiantly for 22 and 26 respectively, while Tim Walsh, batting at five, made 37.

However, Burghill didn't score enough runs and finished the day on 175-7.

Bromyard just about got over the line in their match against Chaddesley Corbett to climb up to seventh in Division Two.

Fine bowling from Greg Leighton (5-30), Jamie Abell (3-26) and Jacob Redsull (2-39) saw Bromyard skittle out their opponents for just 95.

However, Chaddesley Corbett also bowled well and remarkably almost snatched a win.

Bromyard got to their target though with two wickets to spare; Zahid Saeed top scoring with 36.

Wormelow, meanwhile, went down to a two-wicket defeat to Lye despite posting a healthy 255-6.

Josh Worsley and Richard Stafford posted the majority of the runs, scoring 115 and 97 not out respectively.

However, key runs by the tailenders proved crucial as Lye won the match with just four balls remaining.

Luke Sparrow was Wormelow's top bowler, taking 3-54, while Elliott Williams took 2-75.

Bartestree & Lugwardine's Division Three match against Avoncroft was cancelled.
