CRICKET correspondent Vic Marks is to talk about his glittering career at Herefordshire Cricket Society's last meeting of the winter next week.
Marks, who is part of the Test Match Special team, made six Test appearances for England and was an important member of the One Day International squad for a number of years, appearing 32 times.
He took 34 wickets in those matches at an average of 25.79 and his haul of 5-20 against New Zealand in 1984 still remains the best by an England slow bowler.
Marks also became the first bowler of any description to achieve two five-wicket hauls.
The talk will be at Hereford Rowing Club from 7.30pm next Thursday, with a £5 entry fee for non-members.
