BROCKHAMPTON have made an immediate return to the Birmingham & District Premier League Premier Division today without facing a ball.

The villagers were due to play Attock, while nearest challengers Smethwick had a scheduled trip to Bromsgrove.

But both matches were abandoned, meaning Brockhampton can now longer be caught.

They will now battle Dorridge for the title, with Dorridge holding an eight point advantage going into the final round of matches next week.

However, it's bad news for Eastnor who have been relegated from the Birmingham League set up.

It's been a torrid 12 months for Eastnor, who have had successive relegations.

Their fate was sealed after a 37 run defeat against Fordhouses, who in turn sealed the Division Three title.

Eastnor did manage to bowl out Fordhouses for 107, with Atiq Ur Rehman taking 3-16.

But, as has been the case for most of the season, Eastnor's batting let them down.

They were skittled out for just 67; Mahaaz Ahmed being the only player to get into double figures.
