GARNONS and Kington have made the GB Liners Marches League Knock-out Trophy Finals Day following quarter-final victories over Goodrich and Luctonians respectively.

Sam Griffiths hit a fine 75 for Garnons in their eight-wicket win, while Michael Green was the star man for Kington.

Green snapped up 3-7 as Luctonians were bowled out for 156 before scoring 98 for the bat to help his side win by five wickets.

Colwall Thirds have also made the semi-finals, with Crickhowell's encounter against Wormelow still to be played.

Finals Day has been scheduled for Sunday, September 4.

In the league, Luctonians thrashed Crickhowell by 154 runs to cement their strong position at the top of Division One, while Garnons easily saw off Ledbury.

Glangrwyney claimed a fine win over Goodrich to climb out of the relegation places and Kington claimed a winning draw over Builth Wells.

Meanwhile, Woolhope and Canon Frome & Marden were involved in an exciting tie after both posted 258.
