HEREFORD Cathedral Junior School (HCJS) came out on top in the Saracens Cup Under-11 Hardball Cricket Tournament held at Wyeside.
The school beat Lucton A by 80 runs in the final, while St l finished third after a five-run triumph over Almeley.
HCJS pipped St Paul's to win Group A, while Lucton A won Group B ahead of Lucton A.
The other teams involved in the tournament were Lucton B and Kingsland.
Results: Almeley 225-6 v Lucton A 253-2, HCJS 292-0 v Lucton B 184-7, Lucton B 244-4 v St Paul's 3-2-2, Kingsland 222-6 v Almeley 267-1, Lucton A 262 v Kingsland 203, HCJS 283-0 v St Paul's 234.
Finals: HCJS 291-0 v Lucton A 211-6 – HCJS won by 80 runs, St Paul's 232-7 v Almeley 227-6 – St Paul's won by five runs.
Overall positions: 1 HCJS, 2 Lucton A, 3 St Paul's, 4 Almeley, 5= Kingsland and Lucton B.
