USEFUL knocks by Josh Tongue, Henry Langford and Joe Crichard helped Brockhampton beat Moseley by three wickets In Division One of the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League.

Each player scored more than 40 runs to ensure the villagers achieved their run chase with seven balls left.

Moseley relied heavily on Jack Harper's 105 and Mark Adair's 65 as the Birmingham side posted 245-9 off their 50 overs; Nicholas Powell and Senuran Muthusamy both taking three wickets.

In reply, Brockhampton started strongly and went past 50 runs before Ian Bullock was the first player to go.

The away side were always in sight of their target and the win means there is now some breathing space between themselves and the bottom two places in the division.

In the Worcestershire County League, Ben Owens' 72 helped Burghill, Tillington & Weobley beat Hagley by 36 runs in Division One, while both Bromyard and Wormelow lost their Division Two matches to Feckenham and Chaddesley Corbett respectively.

Bartestree & Lugwardine thrashed Malvern by seven wickets to maintain their position at the top of Division Three and Harry Porter's three wickets helped Ross-on-Wye see off Avoncroft by four wickets. In the second XI leagues, Colwall beat Evesham by three wickets with just two balls remaining in a pulsating match that saw 601 runs scored.

The same amount of runs were posted in Bromyard's Division Two match against Feckenham.

But it was Feckenham who scored the majority of them, prevailing by 207 runs.
