A NARROW two-wicket victory over Kington was enough to keep Abergavenny top of Marches League Division One.

Luctonians are keeping the pressure on the Welsh leaders, however, after Chris Burke and Steve Powell half-centuries put their side on the way to a 48-run win at Woolhope.

Burke (84) and Powell (56) lifted Luctonians to 253 all out with Steve Davies in fine form for the home side, taking seven wickets.

In reply, Will Tanner's 53 gave Woolhope a glimmer but four wickets from Imalka Kankanamalage and three from Matt Bengry steered the north Herefordshire outfit to victory.

Ledbury's plight at the foot of the table wasn't helped by a two-wicket defeat by Canon Frome & Marden who had Christopher Boyson to thank for taking 4-54 as Ledbury were dismissed for 208.

Edward Lovell hit his second big century in successive Saturdays to help runaway leaders Brockhampton Third strengthen their position at the summit of Division Two.

Lovell's 147 against Luctonians Second came just seven days after he blasted 191 against Built Wells 2nd. This time he helped his side post a mammoth 354-4, before Rhys Price (4-32) and Harry Children (3-8) were the architects of Luctonians' dismissal for 185.

An unbeaten century by Jai Smallwood gave leaders Eastnor Third a huge victory over Ledbury Second in Division Three. After being set 258, thanks to Smallwood's 102 and a half-century from Andrew Hodges, Ledbury were shot out for just 43.

Garnons Second also recorded a huge win, beating Goodrich Second by 239 runs.

In Division Four, Hay-on-Wye clung on to beat strugglers Colwall Fourth by two wickets having been set a low target of 107.

Tim Masters led the way with an unbeaten 42, although Harry Evans made lift tricky for the border side by recording figures of 6-25.

There was also an outstanding effort from 13-year-old opener Charlie Williams whose 110 helped Woolhope Second to 262-5 against Luctonians Third who made 200-8 in reply thanks to another century-maker, this time Dan Denwick-Lofts who hit 109 not out.

Jamie Worsfold took 3-10 as Bartestree & Lugwardine Fourth were dismissed for 68, giving Wormelow Third a nine-wicket win.
