IT'S the job of opening batsmen to get their side off to a good start, and these two youngsters certainly did that.
Theo Mayall and Tom Skerrett put on 204 inside 35 overs to help Herefordshire Under 12s to a comfortable win over North-East Wales at Brockhampton.
Mayell's unbeaten 113 contained 18 fours while Skerrett's 70 not out featured nine fours.
In reply, North-East Wales could only muster 127-6 from their 35 overs, with Rafe Mason taking 2-15 from six overs.
Skerrett also waded in with the ball, finishing with figures of 1-23 from seven overs.
