GOODRICH started the defence of their GB Liners Marches League Division One title with a comfortable five-wicket victory against Abergavenny.

Elsewhere in the division, Ben Smith's four wickets helped Kington to a five-wicket success over Garnons and Imalaka Kankanmalage helped himself to six wickets to help Luctonians narrowly beat Canon Frome & Marden by 128 runs.

Luctonians were bowled out for 115; Adam Atkin, Rupert Lawrence, Nicko Evans and Chris Boyson all chipping in with wickets for the new amalgamated side, but the home side managed to edge home.

Herefordians also had a good win against Woolhope 2nds in Division 4; Jason Fletcher (3-6) helping skittle out their opponents for just 37, ensuring an 82-run win.
