A FORMER England cricketer who was part of the side that memorably won the Ashes in 2005 will be Herefordshire Cricket Society's special guest on Thursday.
Simon Jones will be speaking at Hereford Rowing Club from 7.30pm.
The 36-year-old fast-medium bowler, who played county cricket Glamorgan, Worcestershire and Hampshire, played 18 tests for England, taking 59 wickets.
His iconic moment came when he claimed figures of 6-53 during the Third Test against Australia at Old Trafford, before taking another five-for at Trent Bridge.
Entry for guests is £5. For more information, call Ken Sharpe on 01432 359990.
