BURGHILL & Tillington won the Under-11 Cricket League after overcoming Colwall in the final.

Both teams reached the final after winning their north and south divisions respectively.

Played at Pentland Gardens, the final was played as a Twenty-20 match.

Colwall batted first and scored 98-6 off their 20 overs, setting Burghill a target of 99 to win.

And they managed to get there in style, losing only one wicket along the way,

Harry Sockett finished on 33 not out, while Freddie Parker snapped up five wickets for just eight runs off his three overs.

Burghill’s season started on May 3 and they went on to win 10 of their 12 games to top their division.

“We are immensely proud of all our players and their hard work this season in reaching and then winning the final,” said Burghill coaches Andy Strangeway and Andrew Sockett.

“We would also like to thank all the parents for their tremendous support.”

The Under-13 final was won by Bromyard, who beat Wormelow by 23 runs, thanks to Jamie Abell's fine 30 off 35 balls, while Bartestree & Lugwardine were are the Under-15 champions following a nine-wicket success over Brockhampton.

Luke Tulacz, who plays for Bartestree's first team, finished unbeaten on 50 as well as taking three wickets.
