A COUNTY cricketer breezed through the opposition to help his side to a stunning win in Division Two of the GB Liners Marches Cricket League.

Chris Breeze snapped up seven wickets for just 12 runs for Shirebulls as Knighton-on-Teme were bowled out for just 34.

The home side then only needed four overs to complete the win for the loss of two wickets.

Shirebulls are now just nine points below Dales in the league table, with the Leominster side currently placed second.

Glangrwyney lead the way though but were not in action on Saturday due to Weobley conceding the match.

Goodrich have one hand on the Division One title following yet another comfortable win.

Mark Bradford and Jack Waldis both finished with figures of 3-9 as Goodrich thrashed Kington by 10 wickets.

Goodrich travel to second placed Luctonians this Saturday, with Lucs needing a 24-point win to deny Goodrich the title.

Both Brockhampton and Eastnor remain bottom of their respective Birmingham & District Premier Division League divisions after losing at the weekend.

Brockhampton were thrashed by 125 runs by Ombersley in the Premier Division, while Eastnor were easily beaten by Sutton Coldfield in Division Two.

Bromyard have dropped into the bottom two of the Worcestershire County Cricket League Division One table after losing to county rivals Burghill & Tillington.

Ben Owens' 61 helped Burghill to a six-wicket win after Bromyard were bowled out for 139.

In the same division, Nick Panniers, Ben Wheeler and Max Backhouse all scored half centuries as Colwall beat Pedmore by four wickets in a high scoring game.

Elsewhere, Wormelow lost to Cookley in Division Two, while in Division Three, Bartestree & Lugwardine went down to a six-wicket defeat to Rushwick and Ross-on-Wye lost by 149 runs to Netherton.
