BEN Smith took an amazing eight wickets as Kington stormed to a fantastic success against Builth Wells in Division One of the GB Liners Marches Cricket League.

Smith finished on 8-39 which helped bowl out Builth Wells for 121 and secure a brilliant win that keeps Kington out of the drop zone.

Kington had earlier posted 168-9 off their 45 overs, with Wayne Morgan top scoring with 66.

Opener Winston Williams scored for 45 and Eric De Greeve made 25, but in the end, Builth Wells had no answer to Smith

Duncan Morgan and Lee Traylor were the other two bowlers to take wickets.

Brockhampton 3rd are now in the relegation zone after they succumbed to a a seven-wicket defeat against Ledbury.

James Brighton led the way for Ledbury with a fine 77, with Luke Ledbury finishing unbeaten on 57.

Goodrich march on at the top of the league, with their latest success coming against Garnons.

Rory Jackson hit a fine 57, with Seymour finishing unbeaten on 37.

Chris Tookey and James O'Brien both took two wickets.

Elsewhere, Chris Ibbetson smashed 111 runs that saw Luctonians thrash Woolhope 137 runs.

James Platford also scored 87 and Hamish Light 52.

Dales now lead Division Two after a convincing win 94 run win over Knighton-on-Teme.

Harry Ellis (88) and Gareth Jones (81) led the way for the Leominster based side.

Dales are only a point clear at the top though in the topsy-turvy division, with Marden second.

And only two points further adrift are Glangrwyney in third, who beat Marden by seven wickets last weekend.

Colwall 3rd look like winning Division Three, with their latest success coming against Goodrich 2nd, with Burghill & Tillington 3rd leading Division 4 West and Eastnor 4th the eastern section.
