DAVE Nash's fine bowling helped Ledbury secure their first win in GB Liners Cricket League Division 1 this season, which lifts them off the foot of the table.

Nash snapped up five wickets that helped earn a 28-run win against fellow strugglers Kington at New Street.

Joshua Evans (2-26) and Neil Andrews (2-32) also contributed towards Ledbury bowling Kington out for 130, with Ben Smith (43) being the only batsmen that scored any credible runs for the visitors.

Kington did have Ledbury reeled in at 46-5, but some late resistance from Maurice Embrey (33), Steve Evans (27) and Richard Orders (20) helped the home side eventually post 158-7 off their 45 overs.

Canon Frome are now rooted at the bottom of the division following a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of high-flyers Luctonians.

Hamish Light led the win for Lucs with a fine 99, while James Platford hit 60 in their 212-3 total.

Adam Hope was top scorer for Canon Frome with 55.

Goodrich won their ninth game of the season after seeing off Brockhampton 3rd by 88 runs.

Rory Jackson top scored for Goodrich with 86, while James O'Brien, who also took three wickets, not far behind on 83.

Builth Wells also won again after Sam Williams' 82 not out helped them to an eight-wicket success over Garnons, while Woolhope edged past Crickhowell with two overs to spare.

Shirebulls still lead the way in Division Two despite suffering a nine-wicket mauling against Dales.

Marcus Jones was the pick of the Dales bowlers with six wickets as the Leominsetr side skittled out Shirebulls for just 95.

There are only seven points that separate the top four teams in the division, with Glangrwyney and Marden sandwiched in between Shirebulls and Dales.

Glangrwyney beat Almeley by five wickets, while Marden thrashed Presteigne by 117 runs; Sam Pratley (73) and Chris Boyson (6-25) being Marden's star players.

Colwall 3rd still lead Division Three after Dick Tugwell (80) helped them to a winning draw against Kington 3rd, while Goodrich 2nd beat Bosbury and Strollers saw off Abergavenny 3rd.
