BROMYARD overseas star Dinusha Fernando was agonisingly run out for 99, but his side still managed to record their third victory in four matches.

Fernando, who was ably supported by Ash Bullock (52) and Ryan Tongue (49), helped their side post 283-3 against Worcester Nomads.

Tongue then weighed in with the ball, taking 3-35 as Nomads were restricted to 228-7.

The day didn't go so well for Burghill & Tillington who are now bottom of the table after another defeat.

The young side had dismissed Pershore for 242 but stumbled in their reply and were bowled out for 93 with Owen Morgan and Tim Walsh's 21 as good as it got.

Colwall lost by five wickets to Belbroughton despite a middle order recovery from Sam Crichard (43) and Jon Gooch (42) who helped rescue the county side from peril at 43-5 to post 220.

But Belbroughton batted well with Daniel O'Leary and William Pardoe hitting half centuries to guide their side home.

In Division Two, Wormelow were dismissed for 140 in their pursuit of 266 against Bredon, with Lee Watkins hitting 40.

Bartestree & Lugwardine suffered a setback, losing by 98 runs to Himbleton in Division Three.

The Herefordshire side put their opponents in having win the toss, but Himbleton posted a challenging 300-7.

Bartestree slumped to 94-5 in reply before Andrew Jones and Jack Trattell helped add some respectability, but the home side still fell short, closing on 202-6.

Ross-on-Wye built on last week's impressive win over Avoncroft by seeing off Alveley by two wickets having been set 163 to win, with Jack Donovan Ross's star man with bat and ball as he hit 37 before taking 3-37.

Bromyard 3rd had a day to forget as they lost heavily at Kidderminster Victoria in Division Seven South.

Batting first, Kidderminster posted 207-6 with David Clegg (2-41) one of five bowlers to pick up wickets.

But the problems began when Bromyard went in to bat with just three players reaching double figures, one being tail ender Nathanael Newitt who made 17.
