WEOBLEY High School have had another excellent athletics season, with students representing the school, district and region.

Years seven and eight won all four indoor athletics county titles at the start of the season and outdoor success has continued.

In Year 7, Chelsea Bannerville won the 100m, Clara Price the long jump and Emyr Truelove and 300m and 800m.

The girls were also victorious in the relay.

The Year 8s won the district trials, with success for Meg Gore (100m), Roz Griffiths (200m), Iona Fellows (800m and javelin), Amy Speakman (shot putt), Abbie Williams (high jump), Ollie Gittins (200m), Harry Bowyer (300m and 800m) and Will Pugh (high jump).

Both the girls and boys won the relay.

Year 9 also won the district trials, with victories for Iona Fellows (800m), Tia Froom (1500m), Maisie Hughes (high jump), Polly Maynard Watkins (long jump), George McGloughlin (200m), Cameron Boocock (discus) and Sam Curd (high jump). The girls and boys also won the relay.

And in Year 10, Cam Tyler won the 100m, Anna Stowell was victorious in the 800m, 1500m and high jump, Josh Williams-Davies won the 200m, Jamie Knight came top in the 1500m, Will Truelove had double success in the 800m and 3000m and Harry Qunlain-prior won the javelin.

The girls also also won the relay, with the year group succeeding in the district trials.

Meanwhile, Will Pugh went on to win the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Regional Championship high jump competition, with Amy Speakman coming third in the shot putt.

They now hope to progress to the Midlands Championships next season.
