GREYHOUND stormed into the third round of the Midlands Junior Vase after a five-try display.

They opened up a 19-10 advantage before the interval and then eased to victory with a confident second-half showing.

They will be looking to continue their winning form against Birmingham Exiles this Saturday in a Midlands Five West (South) home fixture.

Elliot Phillips opened the scoring early in the first-half of the cup battle and David Bromage slotted the conversion.

The hosts hit back with an unconverted try before Rob Gummer bagged Greyhound’s second try, converted by Bromage.

John Roberts went over the line for an unconverted touchdown but Alcester replied with a unconverted try.

Luke Williams crossed for an unconverted try.

Sam Ellis followed up with an unconverted try before Alcester rounded off the afternoon.
