Herefordshire's Westside Netball Club win 42-34 against Recycles in West Midlands Division Two

WESTSIDE are third in West Midlands Division Two after overcoming Shropshire rivals Recycles 42-34.
Helen Hancock and Ellie Smith both started confidently and managed to convert any chances into the circle into goals, while goalkeeper Aimee Phillips made life difficult for the Recycles shooter.
Westside’s through courtplay was dynamic, with Anna Mulderrig moving well from defence to attack at centre and Stacey Barker using fantastic vision to find Hancock.
But, despite mistakes being made, the Hereford side found themselves three goals up at quarter-time. The second quarter provided much of the same play from both sides, but this time Westside used Emily Davies to their advantage in attack, bringing the ball back to re-build and settle.
Phillips and Steph Snowzell still worked hard in the defensive circle and, at halftime, Westside were four goals to the good.
Player-of-the-match Mulderrig then moved to wing defence and Davies to centre, which took Westside a while to adapt to and their confidence dipped.
This led to the Recycles to capitalise on their mistakes and the two sides went into the end of the third quarter level at 29 all.
But Westside found their form once again in the last quarter with the ball finding its way to the attackers on numerous occasions.
It was Recycles turn to this time make mistakes, which proved crucial as Westside went on to win the match.
