Westfields earn FA Cup replay at Solihull Moors

WESTFIELDS’ FA Cup journey goes on after a battling 1-1 draw in the second qualifying round at Solihull Moors.

Richard Kear fired the city side ahead after two minutes but the Midlanders scraped a draw despite being reduced to 10 men.

The sides will meet again at allpay.park on Tuesday night to fight it out for a place in the next stage.

Pegasus Juniors remain in third place in the West Midlands League Premier Division after blitzing visiting Darlaston Town 8-0, with both Chris Mortlock and Cory Hyde scoring twice.

And it was a good day for Bromyard Town who moved off the bottom of the table after a 2-1 win at neighbouring Malvern Town.

It was not such an enjoyable afternoon, however, for Wellington who were beat 2-1 at fourth-placed Dudley Town.

Leominster are still looking for their first win of the season after being held to a 3-3 home draw by Wolverhampton United.

In Division Two, Ledbury gained their best win of the season when they battered third-placed Tem Dudley 5-0.

But Bartestree suffered a disappointment when they were beaten 1-0 at home by second-placed Mahal Reserves.

Luctonians suffered their first National Two North defeat of the season when they went down 23-10 at Caldy.

But there was better news for Hereford who gained their first home win of the season in Midlands One West when they beat Stoke 23-15.

And it was a good day for Ross who notched their first Gloucester 2 success of the season, winning 30-18 at Bredon Star.

Ledbury were beaten 37-25 at home by Stourbridge Lions in the first round of the Midlands Senior Vase.

But Greyhound progressed in the Midlands Junior Vase when they were handed a walkover by Stourport.
