Opening day disappointment for Ross against Bream

Ross 17 pts Bream 26.
ROSS and Bream provided a fine opening to the Gloucester 2 season with the latter side just good enough to take the points.
The visitors led 11-0 early on with two penalties and a try.
But Ross hit back with a Craig Powell penalty and then two fine individual Casey Morgan tries to lead 17-11.
A Bream try cut the interval margin to a single point and the visitors added a try and a penalty in the second-half before repelling strong Ross pressure to hold on to the points.
l British Lion Phil Vickery has officially opened Ross-on-Wye’s new Greytree headquarters.
The former England star was invited by Ross president Brian Harris to cut the ribbon to open the state-of-the-art changing facilities.
The ceremony was also attended by officials Steve Guy and Steve Potts from the RFU who had provide the grants to enable the project to be undertaken.
On the pitch, while the official proceedings were completed, Ross were making it a good day all round for the club by winning the Market Towns Sevens competition. Going into the final round defending their top-of-the-table position after two previous rounds, Ross went through the afternoon unbeaten against Bromyard , Ledbury , Luctonians and Ross ‘B’ to carry off the top prize.
