Pegasus Ladies seeking new managers
10:00am Thursday 19th July 2012 in Sport
PEGASUS Ladies are looking to build on their exceptional 2011-12 season by appointing two new managers.
The club’s first team finished runners-up in the West Midlands Women’s League Premier Division, spearheaded by free-scoring Emily Lovelock and Emily Lewis and won the Hereford and Worcester County Challenge Cup.
The second-team, comprising mainly 16 and 17-yearold players also finished runners-up in the Hereford and Worcester County Ladies League, only losing the championship to Worcester City in the final game.
They extracted revenge, however, with a win in the League Cup.
“I am absolutely delighted with the progress made by both ladies’ teams, having been in contention with promotion this season,”
said director of women’s football Marcella Furness.
“We have, for a long time, looked forward to producing another side but, we never thought success would have been so quick.
Long may it continue.”
Anyone interested in one of the managerial positions and wishing to discuss the roles should contact Marcella Furness on 07967 019039.
