Ledbury Town look to re-join West Midlands League
1:00pm Thursday 24th May 2012 in Sport By Richard Prime
LEDBURY Town are set to cap their successful treble-winning season by re-joining the West Midlands League pyramid.
The New Street side won the HFA Charity Bowl and the HFL Strongbow Senior before clinching the Herefordshire Football League Premier Division title in thrilling style with a stoppage-time success at rivals Ewyas Harold.
But now, after two years back in local football, they are ready to resume action at a regional level.
“The club is going from strength to strength and we have submitted our application to rejoin the West Midlands League,” said chairman Andy Kibble.
“I can’t see any reason why it should be refused.
“With Bartestree also joining the West Midlands League and Malvern Town also in there, it will be a good competition to be in.
