Pegasus Juniors 3 Darlaston Town 1

CORY Hyde scored a stunning goal for Pegasus in their victory yesterday (Saturday).

The Pegasus striker opened the scoring, curling his shot into the top right-hand corner.

The Hereford club deserved their 14th win of the season in the West Midlands League Premier Division.

All the goals came in the first half of the match at a cold and wet Old School Lane.

Darlaston had a host of French players in their side and played some nice football.

But the result has consigned the Midlands club to bottom spot in the division.

Darlaston levelled on 20 minutes when Joe Lemar tripped Kevin Mowchow and Flavian Chambouro converted from the penalty spot.

Paul Allam restored the hosts’ advantage, nodding in Mark Davies’ back-post header.

Pegasus increased their lead just before the interval after Aston spilled a shot and Jimmy Moreton pounced.
