Quartet were asked for memories of Hereford United's win over Newcastle

HEREFORD Times sports editor Richard Prime was one of four people interviewed for the BBC Late Kick Off programme's 40th anniversary special on the famous Hereford United win over Newcastle.

As a 13-year-old, Prime was in the crowd of more than 14,000 who saw the Bulls beat the Magpies 2-1.

Bulls director Grenville Smith, a policeman on duty at Edgar Street that day, Martin Brain, who was a ball boy, and Giantkillers player-boss Colin Addison were all asked for their recollections of the memorable day.

The programme will air tonight at 11.05pm.
