FORMER Hereford United manager Simon Davey - who only gained five points in 10 games during a disastrous spell in charge at Edgar Street - is 20/1 to be the next Wales manager.

Davey, who was born in Swansea, has been out of work ever since he was sacked by Bulls chairman David Keyte in October, 2010.

Wales are currently looking for a new manager following the tragic death of Gary Speed in November.

Davey's odds are the same as Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, Welsh coach Mark Bowen and Liverpool and Wales striker Craig Bellamy, while bookmakers Stan James think he has got a better chance than Welsh legend Neville Southall and respected Stoke boss Tony Pulis.

Former Fulham and Coventry manager Chris Coleman, who is currently in charge of Greek outfit Larissa, is 2/5 favourite to take the post.
