WITH three successes and two runnersup spots, Hereford Cathedral School dominated the Herefordshire Schools Cricket Association age-group competitions this summer.
In the Jack Roberts under-15 Cup, Cathedral had to settle for runners-up spot when Joe Crichard (73 not out) and Harry Coles (38 no) piloted St Mary’s to a seven-wicket success.
Cathedral fared better in the under-14 Chadd Cup when fine performances by Aaron Kemp (87), J Stokes (60) and Ben Butler (4-18) ensured a 102-run success against Fairfield.
Jo Harding (48) top-scored as Cathedral enjoyed a 97-run win over John Masefield in the u-13 Richard Wydenbach Cup.
And there was a 35-run win for the city school over John Kyrle in the u-12 David English competition.
The Cathedral Junior School met their match in the final of the u-11 hardball competition when Kingsland were victorious.
