POTENTIAL bowlers have a chance to try their hand at the game next month.
Brimfield & Little Hereford Bowling Club are holding an Open Day on Saturday, April 17 at 2pm to give people the opportunity to see if bowls is a game for them.
Club members are joining newcomers and learners in an afternoon of ‘fun’ games that allow people who have never bowled before to have a go.
Bowls is a game for all ages and abilities – and for singles, couples and families.
Bowls and tuition are provided, and there is no charge. All you need to bring is a pair of flat shoes. To book a place, ring club secretary Jill Turberfield on 01568 750631 Brimfield & Little Hereford Bowls Club is just off the A456 Woofferton to Tenbury road 1 mile east of the Salwey Arms, and is conveniently situated between Ludlow, Leominster and Tenbury.
It is part of the Brimfield Sports Club and has excellent facilities including a county standard green.
The club plays both flat and crown green bowls; there is a mix of ‘social’ bowling, ‘in club’ competitions and matches against other local clubs.
