n Boys from Herefordshire are being urged to enter the Spring Cup at Hawkstone Park on March 27.

Boys with a handicap of 12 and under can enter the event, which is being organised by SHUGC. The event will give the selectors a chance to assess the county’s low handicap players.

Players will have the chance to impress selectors for the county’s under-18, under-16 and under-14 teams.

It will also help the selectors choose an eight-strong county team for the Junior Four Counties Tournament on April 7 and 8. Hawkstone Park is hosting this year’s annual competition, which will also involve teams from Lancashire, Nott-inghamshire and Cheshire.
