Pressure pays off as late goals seal points for Ledbury Town

Ledbury Town 3 Ludlow Town 1

LATE goals from Anton Thompson and Dorian Colling gave Ledbury a deserved victory at New Street in the West Midlands League Premier Division.

Ledbury had the lion’s share of possession and their pressure finally told with two goals in the final 20 minutes on a heavy pitch.

Ledbury took the lead towards the end of the first half through Colling, after Lee Allen’s shot had been blocked.

Ben Mcauley’s header levelled the match on the hour before Ledbury seized the initiative.

The home side forced good saves from Anthony Prince before Thompson and Colling broke Ludlow’s resolve.

Meanwhile, Colling and Tom Boyle scored for Ledbury Town in a 6-2 midweek home defeat to Bustleholme in the Premier Division.
