SWIMMING star Sascha Kindred showed his devilish side this week on a popular BBC quiz show, writes IAN MORGAN.
The Paralympian star chose the Red Devils of Manchester United as his specialist subject on Monday night’s Celebrity Mastermind.
The Leominster Kingfisher achieved 10 correct answers on 20 years of Manchester United from 1990 to 2010.
Kindred, who lives in Credenhill, also scored four points in the general knowledge round. However, it was not enough to keep Kindred, who represented The Firefighters Charity, from last place on the board.
“I am a big Manchester United fan and I did a lot of research into the subject area but I got a couple of questions wrong which I shouldn’t have,” he said.
“Unfortunately, I had a bit of a blank in some of the general knowledge questions and I didn’t actually hear some of the questions.”
Kindred filmed the programme in Manchester during October.
He said: “It was a very nerve-jangling experience and it’s true when people say that it’s much harder sitting in that chair than when you are at home."
He added: “I was watching it back this week with a bit of a cringe at my performance but it was a great experience and I hope to do more television work in the future.”
