HEREFORD field athletes were in form at the second meeting of the Midlands Track and Field League Division 6 at the Hereford Leisure Centre.

Stephanie McNally won the A shot competition with a throw of 10.41 and with Anna Robertson winning the B shot competition throwing a personal best of 9.39, Hereford and County Athletics Club were able to take maximum points in the event.

Robertson also threw a personal best in the hammer of 39.52 and with James McLeod winning the A competition pole vault 3.60 and Jon Barnes the B event 2.60 maximum points were again obtained, with the Hereford Club finishing fourth on the day.

Robertson has again been on her travels competing at the Welsh Athletics Open at Newport, finishing first with a throw of 35.36.

She then flew over to Belfast and competed at the Northern Ireland and Ulster Senior Championships in Antrim where she finished fifth throwing a personal best of 39.69.

Robertson then competed at the Alexander Stadium Birmingham at the Midland Senior Counties Championships where she finished ninth with a throw of 37.18.
