ALEX Haines maintained his good form by taking top spot in a time of 23 minutes and 26 seconds when Hereford Wheelers visited the 10-mile Yazor course for the second time.

The weather was exceptionally hot with almost no wind. There was another fabulous turnout of 57 riders who arrived eager to collect maximum points for their efforts.

Andy Sparks secured second place with an exceptional ride finishing in a time of 23 minutes 34 seconds.

There were eight lady riders; the first, finishing in a time of 27 minutes 36 seconds, was Sarah Lloyd-Stephens.

The top five positions were: 1 Alex Haines 23.26, 2 Andy Sparks 23.34, 3 Richard Lambert 24.08, 4 Steve King 24.10, 5 Dave Taylor 24.21.

The top five Ladies were: 1 Sarah Lloyd-Stephens 27.36, 2 Gaby McDermott 28.04, 3 Claire Scott 28.09, 4 Kathryn King 29.26, 5 Debbie Clark 30.15.

This week’s 10-mile event is on the Leominster Arrow ‘10’ course at 7pm.
