HEREFORD United fans will have their first opportunity to run the rule over the club’s new signings when the Bulls’ pre-season programme gets underway with a short trip to Pegasus Juniors tonight (Thursday), kick-off 7.30pm.
Football then returns to Edgar Street next Monday with a visit from Bristol City, kick-off 7.45pm.
Of the senior professionals, only Richard Rose, Sam Gwynne and Craig Jones remain from last season, although the returning Ryan Green is a familiar face.
And the recruitment drive is not yet over.
“I need to sign a further three players,” said boss John Trewick. “There is nothing imminent but, with every passing day, things are getting closer.
“If the right player becomes available, I would not rule out paying a transfer fee and there is also the possibility of a loan signing.”
Trewick has been satisfied with the first few days of training.
“There has been lots of enthusiasm and some good quality,” he said. “I have been pleased with the way it has gone.”
The only doubt for the Pegasus game concerns Glen Southam who has a minor ankle problem.
