Leominster upbeat after solid season

LEOMINSTER Town’s Adam Strangwood and Wes Jones scooped top honours at the club’s awards night and annual meeting.

Strangwood and Jones were the respective player-of-the-year award winners for the first and reserve teams.

Paul Jones and Ian Lane (players' player), Ryan Davies (young player), Terry Williams and James Webb-Davies (top scorers), and Matt Holloway (clubman) also carried off awards.

Leominster’s mayor, Richard Westwood, who presented the trophies, said he could see the club’s progress.

Re-elected chairman Eddie Clark reviewed the past season to an upbeat audience.

Clark welcomed support from new and past sponsors which will allow the club to move forward on ground and team development. There will be back up for the management teams of Dylan Barrington and James Webb-Davies.
