HEREFORDSHIRE pitcher Terry ‘The Bull’ Jenkins has slipped to fifth place in the 2009 Whyte & Mackay Premier Darts League.

Jenkins suffered his first defeat - 8-6 to Raymond van Barneveld in an exciting match in Belfast last week.

The Ledbury star will be striving for his first win tonight (Thursday) when he faces John Part at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle.

Jenkins has three points so far after three draws and one defeat from his four matches.

He drew 7-7 with Jelle Klaasen, Wayne Mardle, and World Champion Phil Taylor.

Canadian Part is one place above Jenkins with four points, while Mervyn King is top with maximum points from four matches.

Jenkins suffered disappointment at the PDC German Darts Classic, losing 6-1 to Kevin McDine in a third-round clash at Gladbeck.
