HEREFORDSHIRE’S Paralympians will be meeting shoppers and signing autographs in Hereford next week.
The athletes will be in High Town for a ‘Celebration of Success’ from 6pm next Wednesday.
The athletes have also been invited to a Civic Reception at the Town Hall which will take place later in the evening.
Swimming duo Sascha Kindred and Nyree Lewis brought home medals from the Beijing Games.
Wheelchair rugby player Josie Pearson, disabled shooter James Bevis and the Hereford-based GB Blind Football team were also ambassadors in Beijing.
Hereford City manager Cynthia Palmer said: “The success of the Paralympians in Beijing was an inspiration. Their courage and determination to exceed was exemplary to us all.”
