THE Hereford-based Great Britain Blind Football Team kept their medal hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Korea at the Paralympics in China.
Goals from Dave Clarke, a governor at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford, and Jon Gribbin secured Britain’s triumph.
Despite a penalty save from Westfields’ goalkeeper Jon Pugh, Great Britain suffered a 3-0 defeat to hosts China in their opening match.
Great Britain, managed by former Hereford defender Tony Larkin, play Spain today (Thursday) before facing Brazil on Saturday and Argentina next Monday.
