Woofferton 0 Leominster Town 1 AN early goal from Matt Williams gave Leominster victory in a closely-fought final of the Leominster Senior Cup.

Williams headed in a cross by Jason Jones and Leominster managed to hold out against the Hereford Times Herefordshire League Premier Division champions.

Leominster goalkeeper Jon Jones was called upon to make a couple of good saves but their defence was well marshalled by John Acaster.

Woofferton tried hard to get back on level terms but Leominster held firm to claim the cup.

Wellington Colts 3 Shobdon 2 WELLINGTON retained the Leominster Junior Cup with an extra-time win over Shobdon.

Wellington took the lead early in the game before Shobdon equalised through Stuart Hammond in the final quarter.

Shobdon then went ahead before Wellington forced extra-time with a late leveller.

Wellington regained the advantage in the extra-time and held on to retain the trophy.
