HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle said that the league title is not ‘done and dusted’ despite his team sitting seven points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier.

Promotion challengers Weymouth couldn’t handle the Bulls as debutant Jennison Myrie-Williams opened his Hereford account with a wonder goal from 30 yards out on the 54th minute.

Keyon Reffell sealed the points mid-way through the second half, shooting inside the box to seal the points.

“I thought they were brilliant this afternoon and it just goes to show how good we can be when we put 90 minutes together,” said Beadle.

“We were great from the start and kept them pinned back. I don’t think Martin Horsell has had a save to make.

“They have got fantastic players so to keep them as quiet as that was a good solid professional performance.”

Myrie-Williams only signed for Hereford on a non-contract basis the day before the game and hadn’t met his new team-mates prior to being handed a starting place.

“It was a fantastic strike and I’m pleased for him as it will give him a boost now he has really be lacking in game-time as we saw towards the end, Beadle added.

“We saw the emotions that has gone with scoring the goal and I think it just finally did him in the end.

“He has had a great start and has been really positive in the game so the more games he has the better he will be.

“That was a nice way to set him on his way. It was a great finish.”

A lose for King’s Lynn Town means that Hereford are now seven points clear at the top, but Beadle says that the title is not secure yet.

“It gets boring but we will just focus on us and we knew there was some big games today, so it was tough for everybody,” Beadle added.

“All we can do is focus on us and put points on the board. We have given ourselves a healthy lead but it’s nowhere near being done and dusted yet.”
