WESTFIELDS Reserves flexed their muscles in the Herefordshire Premier scoring three goals in 15 minutes to overcome Wellington Rangers 6-2.

Fields sit just four points off top spot following the victory which saw Zac Sirrell, Oliver Smith and Ben Thomas net a brace each.

However, it was Wellington who went ahead when Nick Britton netted only for Sirrell to level before the break.

The second half saw Smith round the goalkeeper to put the hosts ahead before Peter Wall levelled for Wellington. Westfields stepped up the pressure with three quick goals first with Smith smashing a low cross into the roof of the net.

Thomas then grabbed his brace by firstly rounding the goalkeeper to make it 4-2 before netting again moments later.

Sirrell completed the victory latching onto a Thomas rebound.

Lee Marlow and Tommy Bishop both netted a brace each as Fownhope moved to three points off top in the Premier following 5-2 victory over Tenbury Town.

Marlow put the hosts ahead with an early penalty before against the run of play Tenbury levelled. Bishop put his side back ahead after half-time before an own goal gave Fownhope a fourth goal.

Bishop finished off the goalscoring to give his side a comfortable victory. In reply Alex Bright and Ian Patterson netted for Tenbury.

This weekend sees the final round of fixtures until the New Year with leaders Kington Town Reserves hosting Hinton- weather permitting.

Ewyas Harold will play Malvern Town under-21s in the semi-final of the Charity Bowl following a 4-0 victory against Hinton.

Luke Price bagged a brace for the hosts while Aaron King and substitute Matt James also scored a goal each in their last league game before the Christmas break.

Liam Campbell netted a hat-trick as Holme Lacy Reserves gave their Division One goal difference a boost with a 10-1 hammering over basement side Fownhope Reserves.

Jamie Collins also netted a brace while further goals came courtesy of Rushane Brown, Mark Davies, Jacob Evans and Joel Price.

Kingstone Rovers remain top of Division One and host Ledbury Town Reserves this weekend.

In Division Two a mid-table battle between Credenhill and Newent Town Reserves resulted in a 2-2 draw.
