A NEW British Heavyweight champion was crowned at a wrestling show in Hereford at the weekend.

Xander Cooper, who is a two-time King of the Ironfist tournament winner, beat Mark Haskins at the Richmond Club.

Cooper is a member of 'Hooker Up' and his stable mate Mel Price made it a double success by defending her Women's Championship against newcomer Kaggy.

However, hometown star 'The Hatter' Chris Royals prevented as triple win by seeing off the threat of Abel Stevens to keep hold of his Flyweight title.

It was an emotional farewell for Heaven though after he lost to Josh Holly in a 'loser leaves town' match.

Meanwhile, in a thrilling main event, Next Wave 5 beat Jesse Jones and Harry Crusie, Kat Von Kaige and Sofia Ari and 410% to win the Ironfist tag team invitational event.

The audience was gripped by the flying moves, but it was the Next Wave 5 duo of Killian Jacobs and Joey Scott who had their arms raised.

The next Ironfist Wrestling show in Hereford will be on February 10.
