A CENTURY from opener Oliver Westbury saw Shrewsbury beat Brockhampton by 48 runs to inflict more damage on the Herefordshire side's hopes of staying in the Premier Division of the Birmingham & District Premier League.
And it doesn't get any easier for the villagers, with a trip to leaders Knowle & Dorridge next in store.
Westbury hit 115 off 144 balls as Shrewsbury posted 235-9.
That was after Brockhampton started well by taking two early wickets.
Jamie McIlroy, who took 4-62, removed Will Parton for a duck before the same bowler got rid of Ed Foster for 12.
Wicket-keeper Ian Bullock took both catches, which left Shrewsbury reeling on 29-2.
But Westbury and Rob Foster steadied the ship to take Shrewsbury past the 100 mark before another two wickets saw them on 124-4.
Herefordshire player Ben Stebbings was then run out for four and when Shrewsbury were on 170-7, Brockhampton were back in the game.
But Tyler Ibbotson, batting at number eight, made 32 off 29 and with Westbury also scoring more runs, Shrewsbury edged towards a competitive total.
And that total ultimately proved too much for Brockhampton.
The villagers did make a promising start, but three quick wickets saw them go from 32-0 to 36-3.
Bullock did make a decent 49 and his brother Ashley 44, but wickets kept tumbling and they were bowled out for 187.
