HEREFORD Lads Club manager Danny Moon has targeted another promotion.

Moon's team will play in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division after storming to the Division One crown.

And he has already added to his squad, with Lewis Clarke, Lewis Fletcher, Carlos Moreira and Ashley Lear all coming on board.

"There's no point going into a season not trying to win it, we'll do that and see where we end up," said Moon.

"The target is to win the league and trying to get to a county cup final and replicate what we did last season.

"We had a good nucleus to start with and we've brought in a few young lads because it's a long season in the West Midlands Premier.

"We're trying to go in the right direction, but we can't afford to pay players.

"You've got to have a mixture of young lads and senior players.

"But I think we'll be alright this year and have got to take it as a lesson."

Lads Club have shown their intentions this week by signing Cory Hyde from Pegasus Juniors.

Hyde sustained a serious knee injury last season, but is back fit and scored twice for Lads Club in a 6-1 friendly victory at Llanidloes Town on Saturday.

Lads Club start their league campaign with a home match against Wednesfield this weekend.

Pegasus Juniors, meanwhile, are at Cradley Town.

Mick Panniers' side go into the game on the back of a 5-1 pre-season friendly defeat at Cheltenham Saracens; captain Kyle Panniers scoring Pegasus' goal.

Wellington start their league campaign next Wednesday due to being in FA Cup action this weekend at Coleshill Town.

Gary Stevens' side have been in fine form in pre-season and beat higher-graded Lydney Town 2-0 last Saturday thanks to goals from Paul Jones and Josh Hunt.
