HEREFORD FC captain Joel Edwards would love to get his hands on two more trophies this weekend.

The skipper has already won four during two years with the Bulls and has a chance to complete a back-to-back treble.

The Southern League Division One South & West champions face Royston Town this Saturday in a 'Champions of Champions' match before facing Hereford Lads Club in the HFA County Challenge Cup Final on Bank Holiday Monday.

"It's down to the gaffer who he plays, but I want to play every game and win as many trophies as I can," said Edwards.

"We go into every game wanting to win, whether it's a friendly or 'Champions of Champions' Trophy.

"I have also been following Lads Club a bit and they've done really well.

"I know a few of the boys down there and it will be good on Monday.

"We will be hoping to get the win as well."

Edwards says it's still a surreal feeling lifting trophies in front of over 4,000 fans.

"I was here in the youth team and was a fan before that when Hereford United," said Edwards.

"So to captain the side and won trophies is an amazing feeling."

Edwards added that the step-up next season will be much bigger than what the Bulls have experienced this season.

"We have to be ready and realise we've got to be ready," he said.

"It will be harder, but the gaffer will get us ready for it."

Hereford manager Pete Beadle, meanwhile, says he won't be taking either game lightly.

"We will give both teams the respect they're due," he said.

"Royston have done exceptionally well themselves so they're not to be taken lightly.

"But there's a trophy involved and it will be good if we get if we get our hands on that.

"And then there's Lads Club a couple of days later.

"They've won their league and beaten Westfields, which is no mean feat.

"We know it will be a tough game, but we hope we can perform on the day and make sure we get the right result.

"It will be nice to get a rest.

"Now we will start working again and start our recruitment process and get the players in that we're after as soon as we can and get them ready."
