THE Herefordshire Sunday League is to take on a different format this weekend with the introduction of two mini leagues.
Called Sunday Spring A and Sunday Spring B, the groups will contain teams that are evenly matched based on their performances this season.
Central Division winners Vaga will battle against northern teams Bromyard Colts, Bromyard Downs and Shooters, while Sunday Spring B will contain Barrels, Burghill, Craven Arms, Ducking Stool, Hay St Marys, Roebuck, Rosey Athletic and White Lion.
Cosmos have decided not to take part.
Shooters still had four games left to play in the northern section and were battling Bromyard Colts for top spot.
However, Ducking Stool's last game was on December 11 and Herefordshire Football Association chief executive Jim Lambert says it's important that all clubs get back playing football.
"Some teams have finished, whereas others would have still been playing into the third week of February," said Lambert.
This Sunday sees Craven Arms and Barrels make the long trips to Hay St Marys and Roebuck respectively.
"We've had no comebacks, so I assume they are all happy," added Lambert.
