HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle says he has never seen a finisher like John Mills in all his time in the game.

The lethal Bulls marksman once again came to the fore to claim a dramatic point for his side against North Leigh on Tuesday night.

Hereford looked dead and buried at half time, trailing 3-0 to the Oxfordshire side.

But after Tristan Plummer and Mike Symons pulled two goals back, Mills popped up to make it 3-3 with seven minutes left.

"I can see why clubs higher up don't want to take a gamble on him because he needs to work hard on his set-up play and and get involved in open play more, but as for his finishing, I've never seen anything like it and I've played with some top strikers," said Beadle.

"For his goal, we were all shouting, 'pass it', but he just did what he does best.

"John has that knack of being in the right place at the right time.

"He isn't the strongest in the air, but he can score headers, left foot, right foot, you name it.

"He is just a natural finisher."

Beadle added that the way his team came back in the game proves what the club means to them.

"I couldn't be more prouder of them because their character they showed and the fact they never gave up was phenomenal," said Beadle.

"Even at 3-3 with five minutes of normal time left, we could even have nicked it.

"It's a valuable point and psychologically, it' massive, but it's also psychologically damaging for other teams around us.

"We didn't play badly, but North Leigh took their chances, although we did give them a helping hand with at least two of the goals.

"But at half time, we told them to just be patient and wait for the opportunities to come.

"We had to change it, so brought on John and Jimmy Oates.

"It wasn't a reflection of the two players who went off [Jamie Molyenux and Mark Preece], but Jimmy gives us more versatility in the wide areas and we know what John offers us."

James Murphy scored two of North Leigh's goals, with Bradley Gray also on target.

Plummer pulled a goal back for Hereford in the 57th minute before Pablo Haysham and North Leigh defender Stuart Hole saw red.

Mike Symons added another goal in the 77th minute before Mills' heroics.
