WELLINGTON claimed a creditable 1-1 draw against high-flying Wolverhampton Sporting Community in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

Derek Williams' side dominated the game in the first half and saw a Josh Hunt hit the crossbar and Matt Williams' effort going over.

Wellington opened the scoring from the penalty spot through Paul Jones after Adam Newbury was fouled before the home side levelled 10 minutes later.

Both keepers made crucial saves after the break, but both sides had to settle for a point.

Pegasus Juniors meanwhile are now in the bottom half of the division after going down 2-0 at Cradley Town.

Two goals in as many minutes by Geoffrey Hill and Drenix Bala saw Cradley go 2-0 up at half-time, before Tom Bendall pulled a goal back in the 49th minute.

But Anthony Robbins' side couldn't force an equaliser.

Bromyard Town won their Division One League Cup tie against Bustleholme 3-2 thanks to two goals from Matt Middleton and a penalty by Ryan Derrick.
